Digital Account Director (Media) – JOY

We are currently looking for a digital oriented, passionate Account Director to join our team, where you’d have the opportunity to work with a range of clients in Beauty, entertainment, lifestyle, auto, and finance.

What you will need to bring to the table  

  • A strong foundation in media fundamentals.  What works, how it works best and why. 

  • Experience in cultivating great relationships with media partners and clients to deliver exceptional service and media implementation planning work.  

  • Holistic channel planning experience– Digital, SEM, Social , OOH and TV , Radio – you will have worked / had exposure across all channels and understand a full got-to-market solution.  In platform experience would be beneficial but not mandatory.

  • Finance and admin excellence – you’ll appreciate that this detail is important for clients and to operate our business effectively, and therefore have a strong attention to detail and understanding of client financial management.  

  • Natural interest and understanding of people, behaviours, decision making etc.  You will talk to your audience target to understand their real drivers and apply to your work. 

  • Experience in using a range of media/communications tools (e.g. Roy Morgan) 

  • The ability to create and strongly deliver a well-structured, persuasive and interesting presentation 

  • 4+ years experience

The Nuts and Bolts Job Description

Key Tasks:

  • Manage the business for identified key clients and be the main contact for media communication. Build and develop solid and influential relationships with your clients. Develop a deep understanding of your client's category to have an enhanced understanding of their communication needs. 

  • Anticipate clients’ business needs and proactively approach them with media solutions to help grow their business  

  • In collaboration with strategists develop recommendations in line with strategic business strategy, across Digital , Social, SEM  and ATL and integration with creative approach.  

  • Media strategy & planning and oversight of implementation across omni channel media plans.

  • Ensuring that the campaign is informed by genuine insights and delivers on key objectives. 

  • Working on new business pitches where required. 

  • Work closely with leadership and Business Directors to identity opportunities for diversified services 

  • Develop strong media relationships that benefit the client 

  • Knowledge and understanding of marketplace trends and developments and their implications. Ensure this is communicated to staff and clients 

  • Training and upskill your direct reports , ensuring the team is always across digital innovation and ways to reach our clients audiences

Process, admin & reporting:  

  • Manage the preparation of client documentation and financial reconciliation across client business. 

  • Budget management and forecasting for internal financials. 

  • Set up processes to reduce human error rate for financial related tasks and pacing. 

  • Approve and analyse all client account queries and ensure these are answered within agency guidelines. 

  • Ensure that activity, that is booked, is loaded into financial systems accurately. 

  • Ultimately responsible for managing the accurate and timely delivery media reporting. 

KPIs:

  • Overall measured client satisfaction and business results.

  • Excellent relationships with internal and external parties.

Salary range:

  • $115,000 - $130,000
