JOY Agency is looking for an experienced and passionate Account Director to become part of our skilled team. This is an amazing opportunity for an individual with integrated experience and excellent client facing skills looking to move to a full service (media and creative) agency.
You need to be intellectually and creatively curious with a passion for brands;
Have more than 5 years agency experience and an understanding of what makes great work, with the strategy that sits behind it
Have excellent client facing skills with the ability to create and maintain strong and positive relationships, both internally at JOY and externally with partners and suppliers
Must pride yourself on the highest level of attention to detail for yourself and your team
Have proven ability to multi-task under pressure in a dynamic, fast paced environment
Are experienced in leading a team of direct reports
Have the desire to make things happen with a can-do attitude and bring joy to the people you work with
This permanent position will allow you to:
Work across a range of enviable brands in a fully integrated, independent and highly creative agency environment where you’ll be exposed first-hand to media planning and brand strategy, whilst being the team lead for creative development and implementation
Be the driving force behind your accounts and projects, setting the agenda and fulfilling the vision for all projects and campaigns
Work closely with the partners of the agency, reporting directly to the Head of Client Service
Challenge yourself strategically - you will be a hybrid account handler and strategist working closely with the strategic partners of the agency to develop brand strategy and implement our Favourite Brand IP
Own the end-to-end management of the strategic and creative development process - including taking briefs from clients, helping to develop the strategy, briefing creative teams, ensuring work is ready on time, contributing to the presentation of strategic and creative responses, and overseeing the implementation process
Take full responsibility for the management of workflow, internal administration and financial ownership to meet yearly budgets
Lead and mentor direct report/s in a proactive and motivating manner where you contribute to their professional development
Work on pitches in addition to driving your own client portfolio
